Rubber Valve Seal

The choice of seal material is of great significance to its sealing performance and service life. The performance of the material directly affects the performance of the seal.

The sealing ring with sealing performance should have the following characteristics:
(1) Flexible and resilient;
(2) Appropriate mechanical strength, including expansion strength, elongation and tear strength.
(3) The performance is stable, it is not easy to swell in the medium, and the heat shrinkage effect (Joule effect) is small.
(4) It is easy to process and shape, and can maintain precise dimensions.
(5) Does not corrode the contact surface and does not pollute the medium.
The most suitable and most commonly used material to meet the above requirements is rubber, so most of the sealing ring is made of rubber material. The following are commonly used materials for sealing rings: NBR, HNBR, SIL, EPDM, CR, NR, FKM, etc.
